OLLIE RATHBONE'S injury time winner secured another home win as Wrexham beat Barnsley 1-0 in League One.

Phil Parkinson's side defended brilliantly against the Tykes and midfielder Rathbone struck in the 92nd minute as the second placed Reds closed to within two points of leaders Wycombe.

Here's how the players rated:

CALLUM BURTON: Has been brilliant since replacing Arthur Okonkwo but went off with an injury of his own mid-way through the first half. 6

MAX CLEWORTH: Barnsley were dangerous going forward but Cleworth was up for the challenge. 7

EOGHAN O'CONNELL: The Reds' defence was kept on its toes but coped well against a well-drilled Barnsley side, and O'Connell set up Rathbone for the late winner. 8

LEWI BRUNT: Solid display as he continues to make the most of his chance in the side. Didn't put a foot wrong. 7

RYAN BARNETT: Supported attacks but Barnsley did their homework on him. 6

GEORGE DOBSON: Made a vital block when Wrexham were outnumbered on the break early in the second half. 6

MATTY JAMES: Came close to scoring his first Wrexham goal in the first half. 6

OLLIE RATHBONE: Another superb game. Covered a lot of ground, even when Barnsley were on top first half and scored the late winner. 7

JAMES MCCLEAN: Couple of good runs and was sound at the back. 6

ELLIOT LEE: Came close to scoring in the second half. 6

OLLIE PALMER: Put himself about and did a decent job at both ends of the pitch. 6

SUBSTITUTES

MARK HOWARD: Came on for the injured Burton and made a couple of decent saves in the second half. 7

STEVEN FLETCHER: Fresh legs in attack and a decent cameo. Good to have him back from injury. 6

PAUL MULLIN: Came on in attack alongside Fletcher and was lively. Had one chance which was saved. 6
