WHILE the league table remains fluid, there will be one certainty following this evening’s action at The Racecourse.
After they come up against Barnsley, high-flying Wrexham will have played every other club in the top half of the standings.
We all knew the fixtures would look tough when the Reds made the step-up into League One and that opening day 3-2 triumph over front-runners Wycombe now looks an even better result. The fact that Wrexham have lost just three times in the league since they gained promotion is impressive enough, but considering the fact they have played almost everyone in the top half already just elevates that statistic.
It’s just Bristol Rovers, Wigan Athletic, Blackpool, Cambridge United and Burton Albion left for Phil Parkinson’s side to play.
The highest ranked of these is Bristol Rovers, in 14th place, while the latter pairing in the list are in the relegation zone.
Wrexham will play them all before the end of December and there’s a real chance things will continue to look healthy for the Reds heading into 2025.
