FFION MORGAN is hoping for some more “Jess moments” as Wales go gunning for a spot in the 2025 European Championship Finals.
Rhian Wilkinson’s Wales side face a two-legged play-off versus the Republic of Ireland, with the winner sure to book their place in Switzerland.
Key to Wales’ hopes is record cap holder and goalscorer Jess Fishlock, who netted in the 3-2 aggregate win over Slovakia in their play-off semi-final.
Morgan told BBC Sport: “That’s what Jess is, isn’t it? Her Jess moments!
“She’s a superstar for us and she’s proven time and time again how important she is for Wales.
“Not just the years before I was here and, you know, she’s continuing to do amazing things for Wales football, not just women’s football.
“So, yeah, hopefully she has them special moments again, which we know she can produce and that’s why she’s such a fantastic person to have on camp.”
Wales, trying to qualify for their first ever major finals, will have home advantage for their first encounter, with Ireland heading to Cardiff tomorrow.
The second leg will be played in Dublin next Tuesday.
