CALUM MCINTYRE is hoping to reward what he anticipates will be a big away following with a positive showing at Warrington tomorrow.
Back-to-back home triumphs have seen the Blues return to the National League North play-off positions and now Chester are looking to maintain their lofty spot with a promising display at Cantilever Park.
Boss McIntyre told Chester FC TV: “Over the last 15 games, we’ll be in the top-three for our form. The opening two games were a disappointment.
“The six-game blocks, we’re hitting 10 points and 10 points and then 12 points. It’s our away form.
“So, when we go to Warrington with, no doubt, a big following right behind us - maybe some of those that last time out, one of those big followings that we disappointed - we’ll be trying to put that right and put on a type of performance and a result that is worthy of the type of backing that we’ll get.
“Our season and the success this season... it will be dictated by the ability to maintain this home form... and we have to improve on the road.”
It remains so tight with more than a third of the season completed, as seventh-placed Chester trail leaders Chorley by only four points.
Chorley host third-placed Curzon Ashton in the match of the day, while Scunthorpe, in second, welcome Alfreton.
Other fixtures: Hereford v Rushall; Kidderminster v Leamington; Needham Market v Scarborough; Oxford City v Farsley; Radcliffe v Darlington; South Shields v Peterborough Sports; Southport v Marine; Spennymoor v Buxton.
