WREXHAM are in an excellent position heading into a hectic December when the games come thick and fast.

A busy final month of the year kicks off with Tuesday's home game against sixth placed Barnsley - one of three teams who trail Wrexham by seven points.
The Reds are away to bottom of the table Burton Albion on Saturday December 7 before returning to The Racecourse for the EFL Trophy round of 32 tie against Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday December 10.
The league is the priority and Wrexham are home to third bottom Cambridge United on Saturday December 14 with the Reds making the trip to mid-table Bristol Rovers on Saturday December 21 for the final fixture before Christmas.
The busy festive period features two successive home matches.
First up is The Racecourse showdown against 16th placed Blackpool on Boxing Day while Wigan Athletic - currently 15th - are the visitors three days later on Sunday December 29.
Wrexham will aim to end a successful 2024, which saw the Reds clinch a second promotion in a row, among the leaders before heading to Barnsley for a New Year's Day clash.
Parkinson will be looking for an improvement in the away form in 2025 having seen Wrexham continue to make The Racecourse a fortress after making the step up to the third tier.
The Reds boast the best home record in the division with eight wins and a draw from nine outings.
With 25 points at their north Wales stadium, no other team in the Football League have picked up more points at home than Wrexham.
Parkinson's men also boast the best defensive record in League One with just 11 goals conceded in 17 outings with the Reds keeping a brilliant 10 clean sheets.
