WREXHAM registered a thoroughly deserved 3-0 victory over Exeter City at The Racecourse to move up to second in League One.

Here's how the players rated.

CALLUM BURTON: Had little to do until he made two saves in quick succession in the second half. 7

MAX CLEWORTH: Solid at the back and opened the scoring with his fifth goal of the season to make him joint top scorer. 8

EOGHAN O’CONNELL: Clean sheet was never in doubt as Wrexham defended well throughout. 7

LEWIS BRUNT: Came in for his first league start for Wrexham and was brilliant as the left-sided centre-back in all aspects of his game. 8

RYAN BARNETT: A threat down the right flank and he supplied a superb cross for Palmer’s goal. 7

GEORGE DOBSON: Switched to the right side and Wrexham controlled the midfield battles. 7

MATTY JAMES: The holding midfielder dictated play and supplied some telling passes on his first league start. 8

OLLIE RATHBONE: Superb all-round performance. His work-rate and pressing was phenomenal, and he also got a goal. 9

JAMES MCCLEAN: Did a good job at both ends of the pitch. Delivery of his crossing was top-notch and had assist for Rathbone. 7

ELLIOT LEE: Played just off striker Palmer and defended from the front. Had the assist for Cleworth’s opener. 7

OLLIE PALMER: Worked his socks off for the team and caused the Exeter defence all sorts of problems. Rewarded with a goal was well. 8
