TWO-GOAL Bailey Allman bagged a late winner as Broughton United won 4-3 in a North East Wales FA U14s Cup thriller at Ruabon Rovers.
Lampis Tsapi and Jacob Carter also scored while Freddie Wright (2) and Harvey Iball made a real game of it.
Daniel Aziz scored two and set up two more in Greenfield’s 5-0 victory over FC Nomads.
Gabriel Fitan’s hat-trick was another highlight of the quarter-final success.
Cameron Hughes (2) and were Chirk’s scorers in a 3-0 triumph at Penycae while Brymbo Lodge beat Kinnerton Oaks 8-2 thanks to Joseph Squires (3), Ted Jones, Jaxon Edwards, Oscar Hughes, Ethan Robinson and Joshua Parry.
Max Welsh hit a hat-trick as Holywell Town won 5-1 at Mold Alex Athletic in Flintshire’s Ken Partington U13s Cup.
Elliott Mackie and Charlie Poole also scored with Bailey Gordon hitting back.
There were double-figure wins for AFC Flint, Hawarden, Mynydd Isa United and Kinnerton Oaks over Connah’s Quay Tigers Wanderers, Bellevue, Deeside Dragons Warriors and Mynydd Isa Colts respectively.
There were hat-tricks for Oakley Williams (AFC Flint) and Kinnerton duo Marcus Smith and Zavier Lloyd.
Gethin Griffiths and Gabriel Boydell-Jones bagged trebles as Mold Alex floored Mynydd Isa Town 8-1. Gethin Williams and Gruff Wynn-Jones also netted with Joseph Lang replying.
Saltney Town were 6-1 winners at Broughton United Super Saints thanks to Jayden Collister (3), Archie Cheshire, Lennon Williams and Alec Wozniak.
Marley Welsh replied for Saints and Kayden Johnson scored Connah’s Quay Tigers’ consolation goal as they were beaten 3-1 at home by Buckley Town Boys whose scorers were Lindon Aindow, Rhys Hughes and Isaac Phillips.
Hawarden Rangers held their nerve to win a penalty shoot-out 4-2 at Saltney Town in the Luke Ashford U12s Cup where the end-to-end encounter finished 5-5.
Alfie Gadsby hit three and Oscar Phillips scored two for Hawarden with Patryk Wytrwal (2), Andrei Manolescu, Aldo Marchesini and Levi Mackin replying.
It was just as exciting at Buckley Town, who were beaten 6-4 by Connah’s Quay Tigers.
Ben Evans (2), Evan Roberts and Jayden Hughes scored for Buckley but Kayden Whelan (2), Harry Williams (2), Dimitar Demirev and Jamal Jumaa won it for Tigers.
Kinnerton beat Holywell Town 3-0 while Saltney’s U11s side went out 5-1 at home to Broughton Super Saints for whom Nate Bennett (3), Korey Blythin and Isaac Roberts scored. Mason Rimmer replied for Saltney.
The tie of the round in the Wrexham League’s U13s Cup was at Borras Park Albion Blues who edged out Ruthin Town Blues 8-7.
There were big wins for Coedpoeth United Falcons, Gresford Athletic and Cefn Mawr Rangers over Ruabon Rovers, FC Llay United and Coedpoeth United Celts respectively.
Anton Williams fired four of the Falcons’ goals while Chirk’s Max Sheil grabbed a double in a 6-2 win over Borras Park Albion Yellows.
Lewis Lloyd scored and set up the other goal in Johnstown’s 2-0 victory over Corwen while there were 4-1 wins for Llangollen Blues and Ruthin Town over Dinas Wrecsam and Brymbo respectively. Llangollen Reds also made it through, Harris Imison coming off the bench to score twice in a 6-0 success at Queen’s Park.
Buckley Town Wanderers made it four wins on the spin to stay top of the Flintshire League’s U14s Blue Division.
Dylan Davies and Harrison Windell both scored twice and Rhys Duncan-Timms also netted in a 5-0 victory over Broughton United Saints.
Broughton’s Super Saints side were comfortable winners at home to Mynydd Isa, Oscar Burgon helping himself to six goals.
Buckley Boys edged out Aston Park Rangers 5-4 thanks to Finley Greenwood (2), Periklis-Thomas Stefanou, Harley Melia and Finlay Merrick.
In the Red League, Oliver Hooson and Harry Ibbotson scored in AFC Flint’s 2-1 win at Saltney Town for whom Theo De Costa replied.
In the only U13s Blue League match, Halkyn United were 9-3 winners at Deeside Dragons Derwyns.
There was a rare goal-less draw in the Wrexham Junior U14s League stalemate between Hope Dragons and Llangollen.
