THE two teams with the best defensive records in League One come up against each other tomorrow and Phil Parkinson says Wrexham will need to produce "key moments" to get back to winning ways against Exeter City at The Racecourse.

The Reds, who sit third in the table, have only shipped 11 goals in 15 games this season.

That is only bettered by ninth placed Exeter, with Gary Caldwell's side conceding just 10 times in 14 outings.

Wrexham drew a blank last weekend when the five-game unbeaten run in the league came to an end following a 1-0 defeat at Stockport and Parkinson says his players will have to produce more quality to break down the Grecians.

"Exeter have done well. They have had some really good results," said the Reds' boss.

"They keep things tight and make it difficult, as their record suggests.

"It is moments. The game at Stockport was separated by one outstanding strike and it is about producing key moments in games.

"We will be looking to make sure it is us who produces those moments to win us a game on Saturday."

WIN A SIGNED WREXHAM SHIRT

Wrexham have kept eight clean sheets and wing-back Ryan Barnett says everyone has played their part in the Reds being tough to break down.

"It is all about keeping that backdoor shut, and we know we can produce chances at the other end of the pitch," said Barnett,

"We may not score in games so we have got to try and keep the ball out of our own net and that will give ourselves the best chance to win those games.

"It's an effort from the whole team, not just the back five. The work starts from the front and the gaffer sets us up that way, and we have been good at it so far."

Back-to-back promotion winners Wrexham have adapted to life at a higher level and although Barnett is not getting carried away, the 25-year-old believes the Reds should be challenging for honours based on the squad compiled by Parkinson.

"It is a very tough league and there are a lot of good teams up there," he added.

"But we have got so much confidence within the squad that we know that we should be pushing up there because we have got that quality.

"All you can do is keep putting in performances week in, week out and see where you are at the end."
