A FLINTSHIRE showdown is next up for Connah's Quay Nomads as they look to continue their defence of the Welsh Cup.

Mold Alex, conquerors of top flight Briton Ferry Llansawel in the last round, will welcome Billy Paynter's Nomads to Alyn Park for a tasty fourth round encounter next month.

Cymru North leaders Airbus are also safely through to the last-16 and they can look forward to a home clash versus Caersws.

Llanuwchllyn, who beat Cymru Premier Newtown in an earlier round, head to Denbigh Town, while Michael Wilde's Colwyn Bay face a tough trip to The New Saints.

Colin Caton's Bala Town visit Caerau Ely and Holyhead Hotspur head south to tackle Carmarthen Town.

Ties will be played on the weekend of December 13 and 14.

In the third round of the Welsh Youth Cup, Connah's Quay Nomads have been handed a trip to Penydarren BGC.

Also away from home are The New Saints, who take on Merthyr Town.

Newtown will look forward to home advantage versus Pontypridd United and Caernarfon Town have been paired with Penybont away from home.

Ties are scheduled to be played on December 15.
