CONNAH’S QUAY NOMADS were comeback kings in the FAW North Development League.

Harvey Morris and Calum Simpson both scored in the last 15 minutes to seal a 2-1 win over The New Saints.

The victory put Nomads a point clear at the top after Airbus lost 3-1 at Caernarfon Town.

Harry Henderson bagged Airbus’ goal while Flint Town United played out an enthralling 6-6 draw at home to Bala Town.

Connor Davies (2), Logan Sumner (2), Harry Cartwright and Ben Fisher got the goals for Flint.

Tyler Owen was a five-star performer in North East Wales League U19s’ division action.

Rhos Aelwyd got the better of FC Plas Madoc 10-1 and Owen bagged five of them.

Jayden Sheil grabbed a hat-trick and the other efforts were shared by Dario D’abreu and Harley Davies. Harvey Jones hit back for Plas Madoc.

Leaders Coedpoeth United secured their 12th victory of the campaign courtesy of a 5-2 outcome at home to Buckley Town.

Iwan Bennett (2), Adam Thomas, Alex Whiting and Thomas Williams sealed the deal, as Samuel Jones and Oliver Roberts kept Buckley interested.

The most thrilling contest witnessed a 6-5 success for second-placed Broughton United against Hawarden, who had Callum Cartwright (2), Luke Farron (2) and Daniel Evans on the mark.

Doubles from Sami Eyre, Warren Catton and Jayden Evans won it for Broughton.

Goals were also a big feature of Mynydd Isa’s 10-5 triumph over FC Coedpoeth.

Jack Casey’s four-goal haul was a highlight, with Luke Sudbury (3), Caleb Jones (2) and Oliver Sell joining him on the scoresheet. Billie Ellis fired home a hat-trick for Coedpoeth, who also had Adam Gregory and Rory Shaw on target.

Jay Richardson (3), Jake Barlow, Jack Jones and Jack Prince led Brickfield Rangers to a 6-0 win over Rhostyllen in the other match.

In the U17s’ division, leaders Gresford Athletic maintained their eight-point advantage with a 6-0 success at home to Llay Welfare. Charlie Keay (3), Oliver Tomkinson, Louie Reilly and Charlie Manning shared the goals.

Second-placed Mold Alex were 4-2 victors at Holywell Town thanks to Joseph Delaney (3) and Rhys Hughes. Josh Acott’s brace kept Holywell in the match.

Archie Jones (3), Dewi Bailey (2), Harry Wick and Dylan Rhys Hayes confirmed a 7-0 outcome for Brickfield Rangers versus Aston Park Rangers, while Chirk AAA prevailed 3-1 at Lex, whose goal came from Harvey Roberts. Daniel Evans, Tommy McArdle and Max Evans struck for Chirk.

Elsewhere, Jack McCarthy-Hall (2), Jack Foster and Samson Price confirmed Broughton United Super Saints’ 4-1 win versus Halkyn United, whose reply was netted by Riley Hughes.
