MYNYDD ISA were on cloud nine as they moved to the top of the North East Wales League’s Premier Division.
Isa romped home 9-0 against rock-bottom Ruabon Rovers with Tom Gunson hitting a hat-trick. Sam Wainwright (2), George Davies, Nathan Mendoza, Shaun Tinsley and James Beck completed the job.
Previous leaders Lex XI were left stunned as Castell Alun triumphed 4-1 at Stansty Park.
Nathan Davies was Alun’s star man, scoring two and setting up the other two for Nathan Jones and Ben Bailey. Substitute Jonny Taylor hit back for Lex.
Coedpoeth United also moved above Lex and level on points with Isa after winning 4-1 at Gronant.
Geraint Jones (2), Oliver Lewis and Curtis Griffiths got the goals with Matt Gilsenan replying.
Tom Janney bagged the only goal as Hawarden Rangers beat Greenfield while Rowan Burdsall, Conor Mayes and John King netted in Saltney Town’s superb 3-1 win at Rhostyllen, whose scorer was Adam Williams.
Broughton United remain three points clear at the top of the Championship after they battered Bellevue 9-0.
Lewis Jones led the way with a treble and joining him on the scoresheet were Jake Jones (2), Evan Wright, Lewis Hopwood, Luke Muia and Jayden Evans.
Jack Smallman scored twice as second-placed Brymbo beat Cei Connah 8-2. Tomos Fenton, Josh Hughes, Harry Wood, Tom Potts, Brandon Jones and Toby Hughes also netted as Scott Roberts bagged both for Cei.
Third-placed Rhydymwyn kept up the pace as Kallum Pierce and Tomos Cumming scored in a 2-0 win over Johnstown.
Aston Park Rangers and Acton enjoyed 7-0 wins over Skippy and Deeside Dragons respectively.
James Redfern (2), Kieran Green, Anthony Weaver, Rhys Jones, Micky Thomas and Adam Randles were Aston’s marksmen while Niall Challoner hit a hat-trick in Acton’s victory.
Kieran Durkin fired home four as Holywell United demolished Deeside United 11-0. Owen Marley (3), Ryan Davies, Alex Harrison-Smith, Tomos Dickinson and an own goal sealed the deal.
Josh Williams, Mthulisi Ndlovu and Bradley Dobson earned Cefn Druids a 3-1 win at Yr Wyddgrug for whom Luke Owen replied.
Adam Woosey scored both of Sychdyn’s goals in a 2-0 win at Overton Recreational.
