MOLD ALEX will be targeting a cup shock tomorrow.

Barry Owen’s side, who haven’t been at their best of late, will be looking to claim the headlines as they welcome Cymru Premier League Briton Ferry Llansawel to Alyn Park.

There will be no change in preparations for the hosts and Owen stressed: “It’s just another game.

“It’s a cup and we know there’s no easy games. Anything can happen.

“We will prepare exactly the same, whether it’s tier four, five, or tier one.”

The sides met as recently as April.

In the final of the Cymru Cup, it was Mold who came out on top 4-2 versus the Cymru South champions.

“It’s a chance to make some money for the club and a chance to progress,” added Owen.

“There’s no pressure on us, but we got to be realistic, it’s a tough game.”

Mold are without a win yet in November and captain Henry Nash told the club’s X site: “I just think we need to learn quickly.

“Obviously, we’re a new team, new squad, new players, but I think we really do need to learn quickly.

“But... Welsh Cup against Welsh Prem opposition.

“It’s a perfect opportunity to go and put it right and go and cause an upset.”
