CEFN ALBION’S unbeaten run has given manager Ian Andrews a massive problem ahead of tomorrow’s North East League derby at Penycae.
“I’ll have a headache Saturday morning picking the starting 11 and subs with 19 available this weekend,” said Andrews, whose side has won three and drawn one of their last four games.
“It’s a good problem to have and it feels good at the moment and we seemed to have turned the corner results wise.”
Edgar Lima scored twice on his debut in last week’s 5-1 win at Llanidloes Town and Andrews added: “Edgar had a great starting debut and scored two very good goals, got an assist and could have scored two more only for the Llanidloes keeper.
“There were some great performances from Torne Samuels, Kien Morris and the defence was solid.”
Josh Millington, Conner Kendrick, Callum Mannion, Dillon Austin and Tom Smith all return for Cefn.
Brickfield Rangers have a forward line to put fear into visiting Builth Wells tomorrow.
Andy Vale has fired in 22 goals this season and stellar signing Haci Ozlu bagged a hat-trick on his debut against Rhos Aelwyd last weekend.
“Haci and Andy Vale were excellent,” said Brickfield boss Gareth Wilson, whose side is six points off top spot but with two games in hand.
“I was more pleased with regards the clean sheet where the defence was well marshalled by Steve Watkins and Kiran Russell.
“It’s a very tough game this weekend against a very good Builth Wells side.”
Rhos Aelwyd host Llanidloes Town and boss Gareth Jones said: “We’re looking forward to being back on home soil and really going for it in another big game.
“If we play like we did at Brickfield, regardless of the result, we’ll be okay. Nathan and Harley Davies return which is a bonus.”
Leaders Bow Street host Llanfair United while second-placed Kerry head to the team immediately below them, Dolgellau.
Strugglers Chirk AAA host Llandrindod Wells and rock-bottom Llansantffraid go to Radnor Valley.
Connah’s Quay Town boss Gavin Parry doesn’t want to suffer back-to-back defeats as his side head to Y Felinheli in the North West League tomorrow.
Last week’s 2-0 defeat at Rhyl 1879 saw Town drop from second to fifth place and Parry said: “It’s important we bounce back as we can quickly slip down the league if we lose two or three on the bounce.
“We’re back on the road again, against what seems to be one of our bogey teams already.”
Town are five points behind leaders Porthmadog, who host St Asaph City.
Second-placed Rhyl, who have appointed Paul Moore as manager, head to rock-bottom Menai Bridge Tigers.
Having spent time coaching in the Welsh and English leagues, Moore told the club website: “Throughout my managerial career, I’ve enjoyed cup successes, promotions, and relegation escapes, each one a unique challenge.
“The management team and I are excited to take on the challenge at Rhyl, a town rich in footballing history and now our new club embracing an exciting journey.”
In-form Corwen, who are unbeaten in six games, host Pwllheli, Llangefni Town entertain Llannefydd and Conwy Borough go to Nantlle Vale.
