TWO-GOAL Joe Bennett bagged a stoppage-time winner as Connah’s Quay Nomad made it through to the last-16 of the Welsh Youth Cup.
Noah Sumner also scored for Nomads, who had Joe Connolly sent off, in the 3-2 victory at Abergavenny.
Flint Town United came close to causing a shock at home to Newport County but they were edged out 6-5 on penalties after the tie ended 4-4.
Liam Bevan (2), George Maire and Harry Cartwright got the goals for Flint.
Airbus also bowed out 3-1 at Newtown while The New Saints won 4-2 at Pontardawe Town.
Harrison Hughes scored Flint Town United’s consolation goal as The New Saints went top of the FAW U16s Academy League with a 4-1 victory.
Nomads powered to a 6-0 success at Airbus where Harvey Hendry (3) and Riley Foster (2) did most of the damage.
Airbus gained revenge in the U15s League as Jake Pendlebury and Max Murray netted in a 2-0 win.
Flint were floored 7-4 at leaders TNS, who produced exactly the same result to beat The Silkmen’s U14s side. Leon Crown scored all four of Flint’s goals - a feat repeated by Saints’ Daniel Thelwell.
Despite goals from William Harding-Pears (2) and Solomon Ipka, Flint went down 4-3 at home to TNS in the U13s League.
Harry Williams also helped himself to four goals as Airbus beat Nomads 5-0. Lee Killick bagged the fifth goal.
Nomads gained revenge in the U12s League as Luke MacFarlane, Noah Mahib and Jermaine Taylor scored in a 3-1 win. Olly Moore replied for Airbus.
Substitute Noah Salisbury scored Flint’s goal in an 8-1 defeat by TNS.
