LENNON YOUNG was on song for Aston Park Rangers as they made it through to the semi-finals of the North East Wales FA U16s Cup.
Young’s hat-trick secured a 5-2 win at home to Llay United for whom Harri Thomas and Max Williams scored. Kyle Molyneux and Samuel Kendrick were Rangers’ other marksmen.
Charlie Rush fired home four and Harri Griffiths grabbed a hat-trick in Mold Alex’s big win over Broughton United. Lewis Dawson, Lewis Fleming, Thomas Antrobus and Gethin Jones-Edwards also scored.
Ruthin Town were 2-1 winners at Connah’s Quay Town for whom Connor Morris-Jones scored.
In the U15s Cup, two-goal Ollie Jones hit Rhos Aelwyd’s winner in a 5-4 thriller at home to Hawarden Rangers.
Logan Harper (2) and Keiron Manchester also scored with William Henderson (2), Jack Jones and Aiden Futia making a real game of it.
Marley Banks’ hat-trick led Mold Alex Pumas to an 8-1 win at Brickfield Rangers.
Louis Boulton (2), Joshua White (2) and Jack Parry also scored with David Mlynarski replying.
Coedpoeth United Falcons also eased through as Jack Jenkinson (2), Zac Evans (2), Charlie Griffiths and Tai Hyland got the goals with Cian Raby hitting back for Connah’s Quay Tigers.
In the John Moores U14s Cup, Gabriel Fitan scored the only goal as Greenfield won at Kinnerton Oaks.
Mold Alex were big winners against FC Nomads where Gabriel Chadwick slammed in six goals.Thomas Reynolds (2), Archie Morgan, Lucas Mead and Kenzie Roberts were also on target.
Saltney Town were 5-3 winners at Buckley Town Wanderers thanks to Theo De Costa (2), Louie Briscoe, Harry McHugh and Caleb Pearson. George Robinson, Leo Jones and Rhys Duncan-Timms hit back for Buckley.
Alfie Taylor and Einoras Kavaliauskas were both on target as Hawarden edged out Buckley Town Rovers 3-2. Albert Szijarto and Oliver Rush were Buckley’s scorers.
In the Wrexham League U14s Cup, Finley Colclough hit six and Iwan Gilpin fired in five as Borras Park Albion Blues saw off Llay United.
Mason Roberts came off the bench to score twice in Chirk’s 6-1 win at Ruabon Rovers for whom Freddie Wright bagged the consolation goal.
Brymbo Lodge beat Borras Park Rangers 5-2 while there were 2-0 away wins for Llangollen and Ruthin Town Blues at Hope Dragons and Penycae respectively.
Llangollen Blues were double-figure winners over Hope Dragons in the U13s Cup while Gresford Athletic and Corwen both enjoyed 6-0 winners against Borras Park Albion Yellows and Brickfield Rangers respectively.
Borras Park Albion Blues are through after an 8-1 victory at FC Queen’s Park. Ruthin Town Blues triumphed 7-1 at Llangollen Reds while Llay United beat Dinas Wrecsam 6-1.
Cefn Mawr Rangers won 2-1 at Ruthin Town and Lewis Lloyd hit a hat-trick in Johnstown’s 4-1 victory at Ruabon Rovers for whom Dexter Dodwell replied.
Cefn United edged past Borras Park Albion Yellows 2-1 while Coedpoeth United beat Gresford Athletic 3-1.
