AS debuts go, you won’t get many as better as Haci Ozlu’s for new club Brickfield Rangers.
Ozlu ditched Cymru North club Gresford Athletic so he could play with his mates at Bricky, the winger more than enjoyed himself by scoring all three goals in a 3-0 Ardal North East League win at home to Rhos Aelwyd.
The victory put Rangers six points behind leaders Bow Street although Gareth Wilson’s side do have two games in hand.
Bow Street made the most of Ben Wilson’s sending off to beat Llangollen Town 4-2.
Callum Page bagged a treble for the leaders with captain Kristian Jones and Joe Morris replying.
Cefn Albion produced the performance of the day, winning 5-1 at Llanidloes Town.
Edgar Lima (2), Alex Williams, Dion Gibbins and James Jones got the goals for Ian Andrews’ men while Tom Freeman scored Chirk AAA’s consolation goal in a 6-1 rout at Radnor Valley.
Penycae went down 2-0 at second-placed Kerry while Dolgellau’s good run continued as Paul Lewis scored twice in a 4-2 win at bottom club Llansantffraid.
Builth Wells were 5-2 winners at Llanfair United while in the North West League, Connah’s Quay Town went down 2-0 at Rhyl 1879.
Dylan Proctor bagged both for Rhyl while the only consolation for Quay, who dropped to fifth place, was that leaders Porthmadog were surprisingly beaten 1-0 at Trearddur Bay.
Third-placed NFA drew 1-1 at Llanrwst United while there were 3-1 wins for Llannefydd and Pwllheli over Conwy Borough and Nantlle Vale respectively.
Llangefni Town thrashed Y Felinheli 4-1 while bottom club Menai Bridge Tigers picked up a point with a 2-2 draw at St Asaph City.
Cefn Druids were celebrating their second win since reforming as Dan Sykes and Oliver Roberts got the goals in a 2-1 North East Wales Championship win at Johnstown.
Aaron Filmer replied for the hosts while Jonny Crossey (3) and Anthony Weaver scored for Aston Park Rangers in a 4-1 victory over Yr Wyddgrug for whom Henry Jones replied.
In Group A of the Reserves Division, Tommy Hallam, Elliott Kavanagh, Josh Hughes and Ruben Monteiro earned Penycae a 4-0 win over Hawarden Rangers.
It ended 1-1 between Cefn Albion and Brickfield Rangers.
