AIRBUS are soaring in the Welsh Girls U16s Cup!

They made it through to the second round with a 3-1 outcome against Brickfield Rangers. Ava Roberts and Freya Peatfield were amongst the scorer for Airbus, with Lily Haslam-Bates on target for Brickfield.

Brymbo Lodge and Acton departed the competition with defeats to Kinmel Bay and Caernarfon respectively.

Talitha Prydden struck for Lodge in their 3-1 loss, while Acton lost out 6-2 to the Canaries.

Elsewhere, Berriew got the better of NFA 3-0.

This Sunday, Buckley Town will play host to Holyhead Hotspur.

In the North East Wales U16s Girls League, the Northop Hall derby witnessed a double-figure win for the Jets U15s over the Falcons.

Jets are flying at the top of the standings and there were hat-tricks for Charlotte Lonergan and Keira-Louise Lewis. Juliet Grace Collis, Isla Spencer, Hayley-Jo Vel and Beth Albiston added to the tally, as Darci Arrowsmith replied.

The New Saints maintained their 100 per cent record via a 6-2 success against Hawarden Park, who had Scarlett Foster-Noble twice on the scoresheet. Lydia Dilworth (3), Grace Thomas (2) and Arabella Rees struck for Saints.

The most thrilling match was seen in the U14s’ section, where Northop Hall edged out hosts Mynydd Isa 5-4.

Annie Rose Alderson (2), Ella Mitchell, Ava Seren Morris and Mia Jones won it, while Sienna Hall (2), Amelie May Knight and Nia Elizabeth Denham took Isa close.

There was double-figure success for Broughton United against Coedpoeth United, with Freya Collins, Lacey Ellis, Beth Morgans and Jessica Costanzo amongst the scorers.

Goals from Tallulah Parker Wynn (2), Kacey Plimley and Olivia Hazel Pugh made sure of Brymbo Lodge’s 4-0 verdict over Brickfield Rangers and Ruthin Town just pipped FC Brickfield Rangers 3-2. Lucy Griffiths and Umniah Tamer struck for the visitors, as Elie Mair Lewis (2) and Skye Marshall found the target for Ruthin.

In the U13s’ section, double-figure wins were claimed by leaders Northop Hall and Corwen in their respective meetings with battling Buckley Town and Northop Hall Dragons. Betsan ap Gwynfor struck five times for Corwen.

Emily Clarkson hit a hat-trick as second-placed Mynydd Isa maintained their 100 per cent record via a 6-0 outcome at Brymbo Lodge. Poppy Shepherd (2) and Lily Foulkes shared the remaining goals.

It also finished 6-0 in Hawarden Park’s triumph against Brymbo Lodge Bluebelles. Isla Rose Richards, Haf Eldridge, Santi Thenga Owen, Faye Al-Dulayymi, Isla Christine Devine and Mia Pryce were all on the mark.

Elsewhere, Nena Hilditch-Roberts’ hat-trick helped Ruthin Town to a 4-1 win at home to Brickfield Rangers, whose goal came from Seren Mai Morris. Lotti Mae Jones was also on target for Ruthin.
