LEADERS Holywell Town have suffered only their second loss of the season in league one of the North East Wales U16s’ League.
Ruthin Town broke their duck with a 2-1 triumph, courtesy of Guto Rhys Edwards and an own goal. Louie Doleman had handed Holywell the lead.
Dion Thomas’ hat-trick helped Borras Park Rangers to a 7-2 outcome against Mold Alex, who hit back through Lewis Fleming and Euan Preece.
Keanu Williams (2), Caidan Griffiths and Cody Hughes bagged the others for Rangers.
League two front-runners Rhos Aelwyd made it six wins out of six for the season with their 3-1 verdict over Brickfield Rangers, courtesy of Rhys Jones (2) and Stefan Jones. CJ Ashton Richardson responded.
Borras Park Albion Yellows had to be satisfied with a point from their 3-3 draw with Chirk Youth, who benefited from efforts by Ashton Shanley and Cameron McKay (2). Jack Cushley (2) and Thomas Griffiths were on target for Albion.
Keegan Spender (3) and Harri Thomas (2) led Llay United to a 5-2 success against Rhydymwyn, who opened and concluded the scoring through Ryan Garrett and Ethan Hogan.
Mynydd Isa’s first success of the season came in a 3-0 outcome at Lex. Alex Ashfield-Morris, Max Robinson and Stefan Underwood sealed the deal.
Hope Dragons’ perfect league three record was preserved by their 4-1 result at home to Broughton United, who had Oscar Dean on target. Callum Davies (3) and Sam Jones impressed for the league leaders.
Also boasting a perfect record are Buckley Town, who got the better of FC Queens Park 4-0. Evan Mitchell (3) and Taliesin Tayari found the back of the net.
Rhys Golby (2) and Alan Szatkowski led Brymbo Lodge to a 3-0 outcome at Coedpoeth United, while Luca Williams netted a consolation for Penycae in their 5-1 loss to Marchwiel. Jake Evans (2), Oscar Lavelle (2) and Alfie Elliott won it.
The remaining contest between Holywell Town and Deeside Dragons Fire finished up 2-2. Matteo Iavazzo and Harvey Roberts struck for Holywell, with Dorian Porazinski and Dominic Walsh salvaging a point for the Dragons.
It was mainly about the 4-2 outcomes in U15s’ section league one action.
Second-placed Hawarden got the better of Penycae by this scoreline thanks to William Henderson, Aiden Futia, Alex Moody and Jack Jones. Oliver Hargreaves and Austin Wyatt replied.
It was an identical scoreline as Owen Burke and Luke Plant struck for Celts in their loss to the Falcons in the Coedpoeth United derby. Femi Olagunju (2), Riley Speed and Oliver Whitley made sure the Falcons were soaring.
Let’s continue with the 4-2 theme! Daniel Simon (2), Sonny Jones and Bobby Poole guided Holywell Town to victory at Chirk Youth, who responded through Rhys Clarke’s brace.
Leaders Mold Alex Pumas defeated Rhos Aelwyd 5-1 courtesy of Jack Parry (2), Marley Banks, Alfie Campbell and Louis Boulton.
League two leaders Cefn United were able to get the better of Connah’s Quay Town 2-0, with Iwan Wills and Kieron Paul Hughes sharing the goals.
Finlay Meredith, Razvan Pelhal, Harvey Evans, Alexander Maxwell and Oliver Gilburt paved the way for second-placed Buckley Town to defeat Llangollen 5-0, while Gresford Athletic edged their match-up 2-1 at Ruthin Town. Harvey Stockton and Ryley McHugh won it, as Kody Townson maintained Ruthin’s interest.
Mynydd Isa and Broughton United played out a 3-3 draw. Rhys Powell, Bailey Bowyer and Harri Jones secured a point for Isa, after Joshua Carter, Alex Ravenscroft and Adam Roszczak had put United in a strong position.
David Mlynarski fired home a hat-trick as league three front-runners Brickfield Rangers defeated Saltney Town 8-0. The other goals went the way of Liam Stafford (2), Cameron Edge, Riley Darren and Liam Williams.
Fourth-placed FC Gresford Athletic went one better in their 9-0 outcome against battling Halkyn United. William Owen’s four-goal haul led the way and he was joined on the scoresheet by Jamie Crewe (3) and Harvey Valentine (2).
Elsewhere, Kieron Gadsby and Joshua Southern pointed the way for Aston Park Rangers in their 2-1 win against Borras Park Albion Blues, who had Noah Brown on target.
