COEDPOETH UNITED are now 11 points clear at the top of the North East Wales U19s League.
Thomas Williams (2), Joe Colley, Adam Thomas and Osian Owen netted in a 5-2 win at Broughton United for whom Jack Foster (2) and Jayden Evans hit back.
FC Coedpoeth lost a 6-5 thriller at Rhos Aelwyd whose scorers were Harley Davies (2), Harvey Davies, Carter Dineen, Tiago Ceita and Harrison Allen. Making a real game of it were Billie Ellis (3), Evan Thomas and Jacob Hewitt.
Brickfield Rangers and Buckley Town drew 0-0 and it finished 2-2 between Rhostyllen (Jackson Williams/Charlie Gorham) and Hawarden (Ewan Jones/Ryan Evans). Mynydd Isa beat FC Plas Madoc 4-1 thanks to Jack Casey (2), Dan Tinsley and Jack Kemp as Declan Hughes hit back.
In the only game in the U17s League, Brickfield Rangers drew 2-2 with Mold Alex for whom Zac Barnes and Williams Edwards scored. Harry Wick and Archie Jones had put Brickfield 2-0 up.
In the FAW Development North League, leaders Airbus edged out Connah’s Quay Nomads 3-2. Franciszek Dasczuk, Ieuan Jones-Wellstead and Alex Sharpe got the goals with Noah Sumner and Jayden Tang hitting back.
Despite goals from Harry Cartwright and Ben Fisher, Flint Town United went down 3-2 at The New Saints while Noah Al-Dulaymi was Airbus’ scorer in a 2-1 Academy U14s League defeat at Caernarfon Town.
