REDS boss Phil Parkinson believes the new investors into Wrexham AFC, the Allyn family, are a "fantastic fit for the club".
Wrexham announced last week that the Allyn Family had become minority investors in the football club.
For over 100 years, the Allyn Family owned Welch Allyn, Inc., a world renowned-medical device company based in Skaneateles, New York (NY). Since selling Welch Allyn in 2015, the Allyns have focused on purpose-driven investments in private and public markets through their Family Office.
Notably, The Allyn Family Foundation is helping to transform Syracuse, NY through projects like the Salt City Market.
The investment, which was made through Red Dragon Ventures LLC, will help 'fuel the club’s lofty ambitions, as well as those of the broader Wrexham community', the club said last week.
Now Parkinson has had his say on the deal after meeting Eric and Kaleen Allyn at the training ground last week.
He said: "I have met Eric and Kaleen, his daughter, and they’re just great people. I think they’re a fantastic fit for the club.
"They came down the training ground last week and we had a great chat with them, they’re so enthusiastic about coming on this journey with the club and the impact hopefully they can make. They were really nice people and I feel they’re going to be a great addition to the team.
"We just spoke about the club, the team and the area in general, all the things they’re interested in.
"Like Rob and Ryan, they’ve got a great interest in not just the team on a Saturday afternoon, but the area and the impact on the area, which for everyone in and around Wrexham can see what Rob and Ryan set out to do was build a football club which will have that knock on effect to the whole area and Eric and Kayleigh have a buy in with that."
