HOME comforts are in store for Wrexham and Mold tomorrow as they make their return to Division One North action.
After departing the Welsh Division One Cup with their loss at the hands of Ruthin last time out, Wrexham will be seeking a better outcome when they welcome Pwllheli.
Lloyd Roberts grabbed the solitary try for Wrexham in their 20-7 loss in the cup and Pwllheli will be tough opposition, having lost just one of their six league matches to date.
“Pwllheli will be a good test this weekend,” admitted Wrexham skipper Jack Harrison. “They’ve had a good start to the season and based off the games last season, they’ve got a strong team and big ambitions for this season.
“For us it’s the same message, concentrating on getting the small things right.
“We’re doing a lot of good things in games, it’s just the ability to score points and our conversion rate which is killing us at the minute.
“We’ve had a look at a few things and areas we can change, so hopefully that can work for us this weekend and we can get a positive result.”
Wrexham sit in the bottom-two while Mold are four points clear of the relegation zone as they step back into action,
The Chester Road side welcome fifth-placed Bala tomorrow.
Still to drop a point this season, leaders Nant Conwy go to Denbigh looking to make it seven wins out of seven for the campaign.
The task is an identical one for second-placed Caernarfon, who will defend their own unbeaten record away to Bethesda.
Bottom-of-the-table Llangefni are at home to Llandudno and Ruthin entertain COBRA.
Unbeaten Division Two leaders Welshpool will look to strengthen their position at the top of the rankings at home to Rhyl & District.
Second-placed Colwyn Bay travel to Newtown and there are home contests for Caernarfon Athletic and Nant Conwy Athletic, over Machynlleth and Abergele respectively.
There’s a big derby showdown lined-up in Division Three North East. Leaders Wrexham Athletic, with four wins out of four this season, go to third-placed Mold Athletic.
Bro Gwernant welcome second-placed Llanidloes while Flint entertain Denbigh Athletic and Ruthin Athletic head to COBRA Athletic.
