HAIL the away triumphs in the North East Wales League’s U19s League!
Three of the four matches resulted in travelling team triumphs and the only outcome to buck this trend was a 0-0 draw between second-placed Broughton United and Buckley Town.
Coedpoeth United stretched their advantage at the top to eight points with their thrilling 4-3 success at FC Plas Madoc. Jack Massey’s stoppage time strike, plus efforts from Iwan John Bennett, Ben Griffiths and Adam Thomas stretched Coedpoeth’s great record to nine wins from nine matches. Ryan Jakovlevs (2) and Finlay Wills took Plas Madoc close.
Carter Dineen and Dario D’abreu led Rhos Aelwyd to a 2-1 verdict over Rhostyllen, who replied via Riley Clewley, while Morgan McNeil grabbed a brace for FC Coedpoeth in their 5-2 reverse to Brickfield Rangers. Jay Richardson (2), Jake Barlow, Edward Pridding and Nathan Brylowski netted for Rangers.
Daniel Evans hit a hat-trick as Chirk AAA triumphed 9-0 at Aston Park Rangers in the U17s League.
Louie Irving (2), Jack Leighton (2), Alfie Robinson and Alfie Harris joined him on the scoresheet.
Josh Acott (2) and Finn Williams ensured Holywell Town edged out Broughton United Super Saints 3-2, with Iwan Thomas and Samson Price hitting back.
Rowan Woolley bagged a Halkyn United consolation during a 5-1 loss to Brickfield Rangers. Goals from Harry Wick, Tyler Hughes, Daniel J Ryan, CJ Richardson and Archie Jones won it.
In the FAW North Development League, Flint Town United won 5-0 at Bala Town thanks to Liam Bevan (2), George Maire, Logan Sumner and Connor Davies.
Hugh Holland and Harry Jones were Airbus’ marksmen in a 2-0 victory over Newtown while Connah’s Quay Nomads went down 3-0 at Caernarfon Town.
