YOU definitely don’t want to mess with martial artists at a Wrexham group!

In an impressive achievement, Ady Jones Martial Arts School has set a new record for the highest number of students successfully completing their black belt grading. There were over 30 successful students at the black belt grading this month.

This brilliant milestone not only highlights the dedication and skill of the students, but it also underscores the school’s commitment to excellence in martial arts training.

The grading event, which was held on October 13, saw more than 100 students from all over the country demonstrate their proficiency in Taekwondo by performing their patterns, sparring and self-defence techniques.

Each participant had trained hard for at least four years, showing discipline and embracing the core values of respect, perseverance and integrity that are central to martial arts.

Ady Jones said: “Amongst those successful were lots of families, we had fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives and siblings that have all trained hard together.

“We also had students that were taking their 2nd, 3rd and even 4th degree black belts.”

Under the guidance of Jones and his professional instructors, who are themselves accomplished black belts in Taekwondo with a minimum of four years practising and a further 12 months instructor training, the students were assessed on their ability to perform their manoeuvres with precision and confidence. The school’s training facilities and team played a crucial role in preparing these aspiring black belts for this challenging milestone.

Jones added: “The successful grading not only adds a prestigious accolade to the school’s history but also inspires current and future students.

“It serves as a testament to what can be achieved through hard work and dedication.”

In addition, the school held a black belt presentation evening recently, where each new black belt was awarded.

This event also helped to celebrate students’ achievements, while encouraging them to continue their martial arts journey.

“There were five best in grading awards to be handed out at the event and out of the five, Ady Jones Martial Arts School students were awarded three, this is a tremendous achievement and we are all very proud,” said Jones.
