PHIL PARKINSON is considering tinkering with his side for the FA Cup first round tie with Harrogate Town but the Reds boss wants a win whoever plays to maintain the feelgood factor at The Racecourse.
Back-to-back promotion winners Wrexham have hit the ground running in League One and sit third in the table but the attention turns to the famous cup competition on Sunday and the clash with Harrogate at Wetherby Road.
Although he has made wholesale changes for EFL Trophy group games this season, Parkinson has tended not to rotate the squad so heavily in the FA Cup in recent years but that doesn't mean he won't give other players a run-out against the League Two outfit.
The Reds' boss will keep all options open as he runs the rule over players in training this week.
"We have got a great history in the FA Cup and we will be picking the team we feel is right for this game," said Parkinson.
"Whether there are a few changes to the team or not, we haven't decided yet because we want a good look at the group this week in training.
"I want to assess everybody and we will pick the best team we feel can win the game."
Although they conceded an equaliser in the seventh minute of stoppage at Charlton Athletic on Saturday following a controversial penalty, Parkinson was delighted with the performance as the 2-2 draw kept Wrexham four points behind leaders Birmingham City.
The Reds boss wants his side to pick-up where they left off against Harrogate.
"There is a real feel-good factor around the club," added Parkinson.
"We are disappointed we didn't get the win at Charlton, it was a weekend of late goals across the board and we weren't the only team who suffered that.
"We have had a good look at the reasons for that and the referee's assessor and the head of referees has agreed with us that it wasn't a penalty.
"But we can't turn the clock back, we have got to accept what happened and now me and my staff will be looking at how we can take that performance into the Harrogate game."
