GEORGE DOBSON is confident of winning every game at fortress Racecourse and the midfielder believes Wrexham are now proving they can pick up positive results on their travels.
Phil Parkinson's men are unbeaten in six home matches in League One this season, registering five wins and a draw to continue the excellent form at their north Wales stadium since Phil Parkinson took charge in July 2021.
With results mixed on their travels, Dobson was looking for an improvement and Wrexham triumphed 1-0 at Rotherham United before drawing 2-2 with Charlton Athletic at The Valley on Saturday.
It was almost two away wins in a row but the Addicks snatched a point after converting a contentious penalty in the seventh minute of injury time.
Wrexham, now third in the table and four points behind leaders Birmingham City, produced a performance worthy of three points and Dobson says the players have set a benchmark when they play away from The Racecourse.
"We know how strong we are at home," said the midfielder.
"With the crowd, we have that momentum there and we feel like we are going to pick up a positive result every time we play at home.
"We know the away form is the one we needed to improve on and the last two performances have been good.
"It should have been two wins at two really tough places to go.
"If we play like that most weeks, we will win a lot more games than we lose."
The two away fixtures with Rotherham and Charlton sandwiched a goalless home draw with Huddersfield Town, all in the space of eight days.
Although Dobson felt Wrexham could have taken more than five points from a possible nine, he was satisfied with the return.
"It was a tough week, mentally and physically," he added.
"Three really tough games and it is not a bad return. I think seven points would have been fair considering the two away performances.
"The draw at home was a fair result so we are probably two points short of what we feel like we deserved.
"But you will have times where you get extra points when you don't deserve extra points. That has probably happened already this season and it will happen again.
"It has been a really positive week on the whole; of course we would have liked a couple more points but it is a long season and we are in a really good place."
