A WREXHAM boxer is to have the opportunity to show off his skills across the pond.
Llay ABC's Milwyn Duncan Lloyd has been selected to compete at the World U19s' boxing championships, being held at Pueblo Convention Center in Colorado.
The championships will run between October 25 and November 5.
The competition for boxers aged 17 and 18 is the first-ever global World boxing championships and will be held across 10 weight categories for both men and women.
It continues what has been a terrific year for Lloyd, who won gold at the Lithuanian Boxing Championships, despite suffering from injury at the event.
The talented teenage fighter injured his foot ahead of the competition.
However, undeterred, Milwyn still went out to Lithuania with the Wales team - and he won gold in his 67kg weight category.
