WREXHAM U18s are up to second place in the EFL Youth Alliance after a 4-0 win at Bradford City.

Rio Owen’s double and goals from Hari Roberts and Callum Edwards earned Nick Chadwick’s side the points.

The win came a week the young Reds nailed Notts County 8-2 at Colliers Park.

Harry Dean (pictured) hit a hat-trick in that game and he told the club website: “I’m over the moon. It’s about time that I got a goal, and to get three was brilliant! I don’t think I’ve ever scored a hat-trick, so it was a really good feeling for myself.”

Wrexham, who host Port Vale on Saturday, are just a point behind leaders Bolton Wanderers.

Thomas Williams’ late strike managed to preserve Coedpoeth United’s perfect record in the North East Wales U19s’ League.

Hawarden were on course to pick up an away day point, but Williams’ 87th minute effort saw leaders Coedpoeth make it eight wins out of eight for the campaign.

That was Williams’ second of the afternoon, with Tomos Williams also bagging a brace, while Ryan Evans, Luke Farron and Samuel Shaw took Hawarden close.

Jack Gibson, Leo Parker and Edward Pridding confirmed a 3-1 outcome for Brickfield Rangers at Rhos Aelwyd, who had Carter Dineen on the scoresheet, and there was also a 3-1 success for Rhostyllen at Mynydd Isa. Martyn Elms (2) and Dylan Jones sealed the deal, as Oliver Sell replied.

The meeting between FC Plas Madoc and Buckley Town ended up 1-1, Ryan Jakovlevs and Ziyad Marikar the respective scorers.

In the U17s’ section, Gresford Athletic maintained their spot at the head of the rankings with their 3-1 success over Brickfield Rangers. Matthew Roberts, Alexander Cooper and Rhys Evans won it, with Harry Wick replying.

Lex XI stretched their unbeaten run to nine matches courtesy of a 4-0 triumph against Holywell Town, confirmed by Morgan Davies-Jones, Joseph Cunnah, Oliver Hughes and Deacon Hughes.

Rhys Hughes and Samuel Jones were the respective scorers in the 1-1 draw between Mold Alex and Chirk AAA, while Halkyn United got the better of Aston Park Rangers 3-1.

Daniel Dobrev’s consolation came in response to goals from Ryan Ferguson, Louis Davies and Jayden Reevell.
