HUDDERSFIELD TOWN manager Michael Duff was pleased with how his side stood up to Wrexham’s first-half pressure.

Tuesday night's League One clash at The Racecourse ended in a goalless draw.

Wrexham wing-back Ryan Barnett had the game’s best chance in the first half but Jacob Chapman saved his shot.

Huddersfield came more into the game in the second half but neither side was able to break the deadlock.

Duff said: "I was pleased with how we came through a difficult start. We’ve talked about our mentality and our mindset as when there’s a little bit of heat come on (in previous games), we’ve not stuck to the task, we’ve not stuck to how we wanted to look.

“I thought at half-time the back three and the goalkeeper kept us in the game. We tweaked a couple of things at half-time and I thought we wrestled control of the game.

“They’re going to have the odd attack because they’re a good team. I’ve just been told they’ve scored 15 goals in five games, but we’ve limited them to one shot on target.

“Then I thought it was going to be us that was going to nick it, but a couple of things didn’t quite drop for us.

“The real positive is they took the information and delivered it and that’s been the criticism of when the heat’s come, we’ve crumbled a little bit and we didn’t today, so that’s hopefully a positive step.”
