PASCAL GOMEZ came to the rescue for Connah’s Quay Town as they came from behind to grab a 2-2 draw at home to Y Felinheli in the Ardal North West League.

Iwan Owen and Elis Williams had twice put the visitors ahead but Gomez’s double helped move Town into second place and two points behind leaders Porthmadog.

Corwen enjoyed their day out at Conwy Borough where Henry Evans and substitute Robbie Williams both scored twice in a 7-0 success.

Harry Strong, Tom Mann and Sam Henry also netted while St Asaph City won 3-0 at bottom club Menai Bridge Tigers and Nantlle Vale edged out Pwllheli 2-1.

The bragging rights belonged to Cefn Albion after they won 1-0 at neighbours Rhos Aelwyd and overtook them in the North East League.

Torne Samuels scored the winner 17 minutes from time.

Andy Vale grabbed two and Lewis Clamp scored the all important third as Brickfield Rangers beat Llanfair United 3-2 at home to move them into third place in the table.

Luke Mumford scored twice in Kerry’s 3-0 win over Llansantffraid while leaders Bow Street remain two points clear after a narrow 1-0 win at home to Builth Wells.

Penycae had Josh Mazzarella sent off in a 2-1 home defeat to Llanidloes Town. Harry Killick had earlier made it 1-1.

Two-goal William Gruffydd hit a late winner as Dolgellau pipped Chirk AAA 3-2. Tom Freeman and Cam Roberts got the goals for Chirk.

In the day’s other game Llandrindod Wells won 4-2 at Radnor Valley.

Coedpoeth United are the new leaders in the North East Wales League’s Premier Division.

Josh Jones, Callum Roberts, Adam Lloyd and an own goal against Greenfield gave Coedpoeth all three points as they overtook Lex XI to take pole position.

Mynydd Isa won 3-1 at FC Queen’s Park thanks to Dan Wainwright, Shaun Tinsley and Iwan Rogers. Sean Humphreys hit back for Park.

Bellevue picked up their first win of the Championship campaign as they beat Deeside Dragons 4-2.

Rhydymwyn were also 4-2 winners at home to Overton Recreational thanks to goals from Kallum Pierce, Tom Chamberlain, Nathan Williams and Tomos Cumming. Matt Tombs bagged both for Overton.

Deeside United were 4-1 winners over bottom-of-the-table Skippy while Tom Reeves and Callum Poole netted as Johnstown beat Holywell United 2-0.

Jordan Walker and substitute Adam Woosey were Sychdyn’s scorers in a 2-1 win at Acton who replied through an own goal.

In Group B of the Reserves Division, leaders Connah’s Quay Town floored FC Queen’s Park 11-0.

Liam Wild (4), Jake Williams (2), Kyle Harte (2), Jon Tear-Edmonds, Kyle Shaw and an own goal secured the three points.

Ben Williams, Kieran Edwards and Elliott Moore scored as Castell Alun won 3-0 at Brymbo while Coedpoeth United enjoyed a 6-2 home victory against Johnstown.

Eryk Osinski, Joe Colley, Ben Griffiths, Kevin Breeze, Ross Hardy-Partington and Nick McCormick got the goals with Kirk Ratcliffe and Rhys Davies replying.

The only game in Group A ended 2-2 at Ruthin Town where Iwan Lloyd and Carter Dineen netted for Rhos Aelwyd.
