NEARLY a quarter of the season has gone and five Wrexham players have started all 11 games in League One.

Phil Parkinson's back-to-back promotion winners have hit the ground running in the third tier and go into Tuesday night's match against Huddersfield Town at The Racecourse sitting second in the third tier.

Although there have been injuries to deal with, the Reds' boss has been able to name a settled side with goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, captain James McClean, centre-backs Eoghan O'Connell and Tom O'Connor, and midfielder George Dobson ever present in the league.

Three other players have been involved in every game.

Elliot Lee and Ollier Palmer have made 10 starts and one substitute appearance, while Steven Fletcher has started one match and come off the substitutes bench in the other 10 fixtures.

Ryan Barnett has made 10 starts - he was an unused substitute in the goalless draw with Bolton in August - while Andy Cannon has also only missed one game along with top scorer Jack Marriott who was absent for Saturday's 1-0 win at Rotherham and is facing a lengthy lay-off after sustaining a broken leg in training last Thursday.

Parkinson has used a total of 21 players so far in the league, including Lewis Brunt and Sam Dalby - now on loan at Dundee United - who have made one substitute appearance while James Jones and Jacob Mendy come off the bench twice.

The likes of Callum Burton, Mo Faal, Will Boyle, Luke Bolton have so far been restricted to appearances in cup competitions and are yet to feature in League One this term.
