AWAY days are in the offing as Wrexham and Mold look to bounce back from heavy losses.

The duo are both looking towards Gwynedd in Division One North tomorrow, with Wrexham heading to Maes Gwyniad to tackle Bala.

Three wins from their opening five matches sees Bala situated in the top-five, while Wrexham are in the bottom-two following on from their 43-12 home defeat to second-placed Caernarfon last time out.

Evan Ellis and Sam Jones grabbed second half tries for the home side.

Skipper Jack Harrison said: “Saturday was a disappointing day, too many errors and not getting the basics right, which has been the story of our season really.

“This weekend will be a big test, Bala are going well and are always a tough proposition at home, with a big pack who love the set piece and a sharp backline.

“We have to front up and make sure our defence is right first and foremost and it’s about sticking in the arm wrestle throughout the game.

“If we can do that and start to get into our structure then hopefully we can have some success.”

Mold need to recover from their 87-14 defeat at the hands of leaders Nant Conwy, but a trip to unbeaten Caernarfon promises another tricky test.

The sides did meet just a fortnight ago in the Welsh Division One Cup and Caernarfon ran out 59-29 winners on that occasion.

Tries from Matthew Liversage, Scott Jones, Iwan Hughes and Richard Hopkins did show Mold have an attacking dimension and they’ll be hoping to see more of this tomorrow.

Defending champions Nant Conwy are yet to drop a point this season and they will play host to fourth-placed Bethesda tomorrow seeking a sixth consecutive success.

There’s a big tussle towards the lower reaches, with Ruthin going to Llandudno, while basement side Llangefni are at Pwllheli and COBRA entertain Denbigh.

Welshpool, the only remaining unbeaten side in Division Two North, head to Abergele tomorrow and second-placed Dolgellau visit Rhyl & District.

There are home clashes for Colwyn Bay and Machynlleth, against Caernarfon Athletic and Nant Conwy Athletic respectively.

Division Three North East front-runners Wrexham Athletic will welcome Llangollen-based Bro Gwernant for their next match-up.

Flint pay a visit to Rhosllanerchrugog, Mold Athletic are away to Ruthin Athletic and Denbigh Athletic entertain COBRA Athletic.

After a tough run of away matches, there are home comforts for RGC to look forward to.

Back-to-back losses have curtailed what was a promising start to the campaign in Super Rugby Cymru and RGC will take on Carmarthen Quins in their next contest.

Other fixtures: Bridgend v Ebbw Vale; Cardiff v Aberavon; Pontypool v Newport.
