PHIL PARKINSON says Wrexham really know they've arrived in League One when you look at the next three fixtures.

The back-to-back promotion winners, who sit second in the table following a brilliant start to the season, face Rotherham United at New York Stadium tomorrow.

The Millers were relegated from the Championship last season along with Huddersfield Town, who visit The Racecourse on Tuesday night.

Town spent two seasons in the Premier League before being relegated in 2019, while Charlton Athletic - where Parkinson had a stint as manager - are also a former top-flight club and welcome the Reds to The Valley next Saturday.

Parkinson described the hat-trick of fixtures as a "fantastic week" for the club.

"When you get a fixture list like this, it is an indication of how far we have come in a short space of time when you play Rotherham, Huddersfield and Charlton," said the Reds' boss.

"Rotherham were in the Championship last year, Huddersfield were a Premier League team not that long ago and obviously I know Charlton well because I managed them.

"It is three great games, a fantastic week for us. It's the kind of challenges and the weeks we have worked so hard to be involved in.

"All those nights and weekends I look back on in the National League, the challenge of that league to get out if it, and all our supporters looking up the divisions thinking 'we need to be dining at that table', and now we are.

"To be in that company is great for the club and we are doing okay, and we are excited about going into this next block of games.

"They are great games to be a part of, really good tests for us played with a physicality but we will be ready for that."

Parkinson, whose side didn't have a game last weekend because scheduled opponents Lincoln City had international call-ups, is focussed on Rotherham and looking for Wrexham to continue the excellent start.

"Two divisions separated the teams last season," he added.

"It is good to be competing with teams like Rotherham who have always been a team at the top end of League One and the Championship.

"They have flipped in and out of the two divisions and have been consistent in where they have been in the last 10 years so it will be a really tough game but we will be ready."
