CONNAH’S QUAY TOWN’S long trek to Pwllheli was a worthwhile one as they returned with a 3-0 win to move within three points of Ardal North West League leaders Porthmadog.

Ben Hughes scored either side of the break before Pascal Gomez added a third 14 minutes from time.

Porthmadog won 3-1 at Conwy Borough while NFA remain second despite being held 1-1 at home by Holyhead Hotspur.

Corwen enjoyed their Anglesey outing as Scott Evans and Thomas Mann both sank doubles in a 6-1 success at rock-bottom Menai Bridge Tigers. Substitutes Robbie Williams and Meirion Williams completed the job.

Trearddur Bay sneaked a 1-0 win at home to Rhyl 1879 while Nantlle Vale were also 1-0 winners at Y Felinheli.

Llanrwst United beat St Asaph City 3-1 and Llannefydd were 3-2 winners at home to Llangefni Town.

Isaac Dawson scored as Brickfield Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Llanidloes Town in the North East League.

Penycae and Llangollen Town remain in the top four despite both being held to 2-2 draws.

Callum Smith and Osian Williams were Penycae’s marksmen at Llanfair United who had Karl Seliaerts red carded eight minutes from time.

Kerry moved into second place after a 4-1 home win over struggling Cefn Albion for whom Torne Samuels replied.

Meilir Williams smashed in five goals as Chirk AAA were hammered 8-1 at home by Llanuwchllyn. Tom Freeman scored Chirk’s consolation goal.
