WREXHAM are flying high in League One and the excellent start to the season has surpassed a lot of Reds' supporters' expectations.

Phil Parkinson's back-to-back promotion winners have hit the ground running and quickly adjusted to life in a higher level, picking up 20 points from the opening 10 games to sit second in the table.

The Racecourse has once again been a fortress with Wrexham winning all five home games and although fans would like to see an improvement in the away form, there are no complaints with their side more than holding their own so far this season.

Supporters were asked for their thoughts after the opening 10 games and here are the replies.

THOMAS WYNNE LEWIS: "Exceptional start after some really tough fixtures. To be top 2 going into mid October is far better than most of us would have expected."

PETE JONES: "It’s another level sitting in second, beyond most of our expectations."

JASON WREXHAM PHOENIX: "As an American I am extremely happy for the club and the town. The overall feeling that I am getting from my Wrexham friends is that this is a very emotional and overwhelming achievement that is surpassing expectations. I'm just happy that I am here to enjoy the ride."

KCC: "Aren’t they doing well? 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses"

WREXHAM FANS: "Impressed. Second in League One after 10 games, wow."

RUSSELL RICHARDS: "Very solid start no doubt a few knocks along the way but this team knows how to bounce back."

MICH PDX: "Much better start than I’d anticipated. Not without some problems but overall looking forward to the next 10 games!"

OWEN ROBERTS: "Work on scoring a bit more away from home and then hope for play offs at the end of the season."

FOOTBALL DAYS OUT: "Very good start, considering we've gone up a league!. Early days, only 10 games in, but with our strong home form I feel at worse we'll be 7th or 8th come the end of the season!"

CRUSTY MAN: "I feel like I'm stuck in a fever dream. I could never have imagined that we'd be sat in second place with twenty points."

MARLENE PRYCE: "Always thought that it would be more challenging in League One and expected the bumps in certain areas - inconsistency sometimes makes a difference in games but overall our team are enthusiastic and confident."

SHARON RAWLINGS: "Really pleased with the results so far, and happy for the town. I live in the US and started supporting Wrexham because of the TV series. I watch the Premier League and the Wrexham games. Sometimes Wrexham is better than the lower teams in PL."

PHIL DAVIES: "We need to keep the faith. Parky found a way to win away last season, so we have to believe that he’s going to do it again. We’ve had an amazing start to the season and if we can keep the same points per game ratio, then we’ll be right up there at the end of the season."

GRAHAM MALONEY: "It would be 86 points if we carried on at same points per game average. Need to sharpen up our away form along the way. But think we all should be happy with the start we've made!"

MIKE ROGERS: "It’s still very early days. Its looking promising but there’s a lot of matches to come."

JARVIS: "Way above expectation, but also ambitious enough to realise that if everyone in the team was playing to Ryan Barnett’s form levels, week-in, week-out, then we absolutely can get promoted this season." CP: "I would have been ecstatic if you told me that we’d have 20 points after 10 matches and be in position for automatic promotion!"

JACK ROGERS: "Happily have been mid-table at this point. Definitely seem to be better than I thought we’d be."

TOP CAT: "If I am being honest, the start is much better than I had anticipated. I thought we would find this league a lot more difficult and it would take time to acclimatise. But some of our players look like they were born for this. McClean, Barney, Dobson and Arthur have shone."

WREXHAM MARC: "Much better than I thought/hoped. We’ve always been much better at home than away under Parky & this has largely continued. Birmingham will win the league, but if we continue like we did against Northampton, top half should be possible, and maybe a squeak at the playoffs?"

WXM EMMA: "Pleased with our position but know we have to remain focussed because it is still early days. Ask us again after Christmas!"

STEPHEN MATTHIAS: "Wasn't sure what to expect at first but now we are into our stride we look like good value for a promotion push. Good to see the goals being spread about as we aren't just relying on a couple of players, such a good squad with more to come in future!"

DAVID O'BRIEN: "We have 20 points from a possible 30 and are 2nd in the table you have to pinch yourself and remember we are in League One. It is beyond what I imagined for us at this point in the season. Long way to go but we are here to see our glory."

DAI JONES: "Far better than I expected. Team working hard for each other. Form of Barney, wow! But whole team improving."

MAX EDWARDS: "Good start, exceeding my expectations at the moment. Would be great if we can improve away performances."

BATTERY H: "Considering that I still think anything mid-table or better would be a successful season for a team promoted twice in two years, I'm on cloud nine. Granted there's still areas that need improvement, but Parky has a team with targets on their back playing very well."

W&G FAN: "Past further than my expectations. I thought they would struggle this season, but it seems that they never give up."

RICHARD WYNNE JONES: "Be great to see them do it again but I think they need to stay in League One as it’s a huge jump to go again. Development of ground is key. Then push to go up in 2-3 years. More money in bank to compete against clubs paying £13million for players."

CHRIS ROBERTS: "More than happy with the start we have had. 2nd after 10 games. Only 2 defeats. Only side in League One to win all home 5 games."

JONATHAN HUGHES: "What a time to be a Wrexham fan. Continue the home form and a bit more positivity away, I can see us sneaking a play off place."

BRUCE MCF: "Counting games in hand, Wrexham are around 3rd (against my pre-season range of 8th-5th), so Cae Ras may well see Wrexham into the playoffs this season."

TESSA: "I like how we’re playing even with the injuries but we still have work to be done on our away form. If we can stick it out where we are at I won’t complain but tempering my expectations to firmly mid season. Not gonna use the P word just yet."

DAVID: "A brilliant start. This a big step up in standards from League 2 and the players have adjusted really well. Hopefully we can work out a way to get scoring more away from home."

ROB 1927: "A very good start with the Cae Ras looking a fortress. What has surprised me the most is with the exception of Dobson it's basically last season's players. I'm sure we will see more of Scarr and Rathbone in the next ten." NED CANADA: "Solid team that is playing well with the additions who haven’t been forced into the lineup. Keep this tempo of points scoring and I’ll be happy."

HABS WREXHAM RISING: "After watching them play at the WrexCoast tour, was very optimistic. The lads definitely have not let us down. Second after 10 games is very impressive."

WAYNE CRAM: "We had 16 points this time last year. I'll happily take 20 knowing we can still do better."

MORGAN: "Miles better than I thought we'd be. Unbelievable at home, still average away. Exceeding expectations regardless."

SPIRIT OF 78: "Not overly surprised. Parky has bought well. A lot of our squad have played at this level and above. Honestly expect us to mount a play off challenge."

LIAM: "Brilliant with nearly half the squad still the same as when we played NL football."

KEIRAN EVANS: "A more positive approach needed in away games. We are better when going forward so I don’t understand the negative game plan of sitting back and giving the ball back from more direct play."

ED JONES: "Far better than I thought. Carry this on and we’ll end on 92points, surely enough for promotion."

OWEN VAUGHAN-MORRIS: "Would have snatched your hand off in August if you’d offered me 20pts and 2nd place. I think we will just fall short of promotion though, with away form being the Achilles heel. If only we could be as positive on the road as at home. But a big signing in January and who knows?"

MATT TURK: "I think if you said you would be in second after 10 games in pre-season, you would have been called crazy. They need to improve on the road. Do that, and you have a shot at the playoffs and/or automatic promotion."

GORDON VALLANCE: "Great start to the season, we can afford to draw 10 games and lose 10 games and still be promoted."

PAUL R: "I think our league position flatterS us a little. We've been good, think we'll make playoffs. But will have to up our quality away from home to get automatic promotion."

DANNY: "A cracking start with some statement performances. Said at the start of the season I'd take 16th and security. We've bought well and the development of players has been phenomenal. Credit due to Marriott for stepping up but his is one of about 10 names I could have mentioned."

GERAINT LLOYD: "Any normal season after ten games you’d be hoping for around 12-18 points so to get 20 is pretty amazing. Away from home, if we can get the odd point or win will be a bonus."

JJ: "Expected ups and downs, hit a bit of a bad run after Birmingham but hopefully after the win at the weekend it should kick start our recovery and push for top 4."

FILIPPO GIUDICE: "The higher the league, the more consistent the club. Great!"

LEE CHAMBERLAIN: "So far, so good, away form needs improving but it's been poor for the last four years. Overachieving atm, not getting carried away, top 10 finish would be a great achievement, maybe scrape a play-off place."

STEVE DAVIES: "I always thought this would at best be a consolidation year. So I am over the moon with our start. Enjoy the ride long may it continue."
