WHILE Deeside Dragons are in excellent goalscoring form, there has also been positive news at the other end of the ice.
The in-form Dragons, who have managed to win their last four matches, have welcomed goaltender Matt Croyle back into the ranks.
Croyle was back in action for Deeside during two triumphs versus Sheffield Scimitars over the weekend, which extended the team’s positive run.
“Matt’s back with us now,” said assistant head coach Matt Compton.
“He is going to support the goalies there.
“We have got some young goalies that are very, very good.
“He wanted to come back. It’s hard to turn down goalies of that quality.”
The opening contest in Sheffield witnessed an 8-2 success for Deeside.
Jake Witkowski grabbed four of the goals and he was joined on the scoresheet by James Parsons, Ross Kennedy, Jayson Burgess and Alex Parry.
Fast forward to the following day and Dragons impressed once more courtesy of a 9-1 outcome at home.
James Shaw, Ryan Broster Jones, Burgess, Matt Wainwright, Parry, Jakub Hajek and Oli Howells were amongst the scores to make sure Dragons made it three consecutive triumphs in the league.
