HEADACHES are what Phil Parkinson is after following tonight’s action at The Racecourse.

Two wins out of two is the aim in the EFL Trophy as the Reds welcome Wolves U21s in the competition Wrexham won two decades ago.

As alluded to by assistant boss Steve Parkin, the tie is likely to offer an opportunity for a number of the players on the fringes to put their hands up.

Parkinson has always put the focus on how important the squad is and an impressive showing to follow-up the 2-1 triumph over Salford will give the Reds’ boss some food for thought heading into the international break.

Talking of that break, the postponement of Saturday’s clash with Lincoln could potentially play into team selection this evening.

With no league game scheduled until the trip to Rotherham on October 19, will the boss select a few first team regulars?

We’ll find out in a few hours!
