IT’S been a tough old week on the road for the Reds.

The miles have totted up - 750-plus after back-to-back gruellers to Leyton Orient and Stevenage - but the away ‘goals for’ column has stayed exactly the same.

It’s fair to say Wrexham’s form on the road during their remarkable rise to glory has not been as electric as it has been at their spiritual home ground

The Racecourse has been a fortress and three points against Northampton Town tomorrow will maintain Wrexham’s 100 per cent record at home.

That will put them on top of the home form table compared to 14th place in the away-day listings where their only win came at Peterborough

Wrexham’s home record will be key to them remaining in the promotion mix but it’s just a shame next Saturday’s Racecourse clash against Lincoln City has been canned due to The Imps’ international call-offs.

On the positive side, it will give players a perfect chance to recharge batteries in what has been an excellent start to the season.
