ELLIOT Lee says he believes this Wrexham squad can achieve "special things" this season.

The Reds have had a fine start to life in League One, sitting top of the tree after seven games and travel to Leyton Orient on Saturday hoping to continue their early season form.

Lee has played a crucial role in the clubs back-to-back promotions from the National League after signing from Luton Town.

The midfielder is enjoying life back in League One after netting his third goal of the campaign against Crawley Town last weekend.

Lee believes the experience in the squad has proved beneficial to the club's good start and is hoping it can continue.

He said: "We’re quite an experienced group to be fair, we’ve got a lot of lads that have played higher, a few boys that have played premier league in Fletch (Steven Fletcher) and Jimmy (James McClean), so yeah we’re an experienced group anyway.

"I’ve played at this level before and been successful at this level so yeah it’s the same as always.

"You want to get a group of lads that work hard for each other and we have at this club from top to bottom.

"When you have that you can really achieve special things and I think we have that here, so if we can just keep building on that week in, week out, who knows where it can take us."

The former West Ham United youngster is into his third season at the club and is enjoying it just as much as when he first walked through the door.

Lee added: "I probably didn’t’ realise how much I’d love it here, every season I’ve been here it just gets better.

"I love playing here, playing in front of the fans, love putting the shirt on and love playing for the club. I’m just riding the wave, enjoying it as I go and I love every week playing for the club."
