TWO-ONE outcomes were the main feature in the North East Wales U16s League.

Five of the matches ended up with this result as goals from Sam Jones and Hasan Anwar saw Hope Dragons edge out Holywell Town (Harvey Roberts), while Logan Burdsall and Dylan Furnival made sure Buckley Town got the better of Marchwiel, who had Jack Pumford on target.

Deeside Dragons Fire’s Noman Aziz netted but it was Liam Ray Powell’s double that confirmed Broughton United’s triumph, while Alex Roberts and Coel Hooson made sure of Brickfield Rangers’ win at Borras Park Albion Yellows (Ryan Pearson).

It was the same score in the Park Rangers showdown as Lennon Young and Estevao Gomes found the target for Aston against Borras (Keanu Williams).

Close encounters continued with Rhys Roberts netting the only goal in Connah’s Quay Town’s success at home to Ruthin Town, while Borras Park Albion Blues and Llay United supplied a 4-4 thriller.

Alby Jones (2), Viktor Berocki and Oliver Doughty scored for Borras and responses from Harri Thomas (2), Owen Parcesepe and Owen Jones made sure of Llay’s point.

Cole Belton (2), Elijah Mugara and Nathaniel Slowinski led FC Queens Park to a 4-3 verdict over Coedpoeth United, who went close through Clayton Pearce, Joshua Rimmer and Jason Cope.

Fraser Dodd and Stefan Underwood were on the mark for Mynydd Isa in a 4-2 defeat at Chirk, who won it via Cameron McKay (2), Armani Borri and Ashton Shanley.

Cai Price (3), Mason Williams (3), Osian Lee (2), Osian Phillips and Lewis Hughes-Jones shared the efforts in a double-figure success for Rhos Aelwyd over Lex and Louie Doleman’s hat-trick was the highlight of Holywell Town’s 5-0 outcome over Mold Alex. Iwan Dowsett and Rhys Jones added the others.

In the U15s League, Leo Elliott (2), Kai Leek, Lloyd Robert Bailey and Ethan Williams led AFC Flint Cubs to a 5-0 success over Borras Park Albion Blues and that’s also how it finished as Ollie Jones (3), Joseph Perkins and Jack Williams made sure of Rhos Aelwyd’s success against Chirk.

Mynydd Isa edged a 5-4 thriller at Brymbo thanks to Daniel Jones (2), Jacob Hughes (2) and Lewis Upton. Jake Williams (2), Luke Brindley and Oliver Griffiths took Brymbo close.

There were 5-2 wins for Connah’s Quay Town and Gresford Athletic, against Llangollen and Broughton United respectively.

Austin Wyatt (3), Evan Hewitt and Lucas Brick were Connah’s Quay’s scorers, with Rhys Halliwell (2), Lennon Jones, Jude Hall and Joseph Scott on the mark for Gresford. Kayden Cooke and Freddie Winks-Jones grabbed Llangollen’s replies and Justin Bradshaw and Alex Ravenscroft did likewise for Broughton.

Jacob Lloyd’s four-goal haul was crucial to Ruthin Town’s 5-3 outcome at home to Lex, whose interest was maintained by Samuel Mottershead (2) and Cyron Sear.

Oliver Eaton, Jamie Crewe and Harvey Rees-Valentine helped FC Gresford Athletic edge out Deeside Dragons Blaze 3-2. Harry Poynton and James Edwards hit back.
