YOU have got to have sympathy for Ellie-May Smith.

She bagged four goals for Broughton United in the North East Wales FA U13s Girls Cup, but it was Ruthin Town who prevailed 4-3 on penalties.

Nena Hilditch-Roberts, Hannah Hughes, Llinos Mai Brixey and Isabelle Glendenning shared the Ruthin goals as it finished up 4-4.

Santi Owen’s hat-trick helped Hawarden Park to an 8-2 win over Mynydd Isa. Mia Pryce (2), Isla Richards, Faye Al-Dulayymi and Miley Butler added to the tally as the two Poppys - Cole-Jones and Sheppard - struck for Mynydd Isa.

Northop Hall beat Buckley Town 5-0 thanks to Abbie Lay (2), Brooke Hughes, Cia Walmsley and Macey Skane.

In the U13s League, doubles from Sophie Barnes and Josephine Tunnicliffe spearheaded Brymbo Lodge Bluebelles’ double-figure success over FC Brickfield. Grace Threadgold, Alis Jones, Annabelle Jones, Maya Bryan, Josselen Jefferies and Ruby Hughes also netted.

Harriett Jones and Seren Morris were the star hat-trick performers as Brickfield Rangers defeated Corwen 9-0. Lucy Darlington, Bella Mattox and Lena Dabrowska also scored.

Tallulah Wynne grabbed a triple hat-trick as Brymbo Lodge secured a victory over Broughton United in the U14s League. Tilly Jones, Layla Davies, Olivia Hazel Pugh and Kacey Plimley also scored as Rachel Pridding (4) and Olivia Bateman netted for Broughton. Northop Hall were 8-0 winners at Ruthin Town, with Jasmine Salem (2), Ella Mitchell (2), Milly Sylvia Ellis, Mia Jones, Mia Hilton and Azaria Prince on the mark.

Mynydd Isa ran out 9-2 winners against FC Brickfield Rangers, with Sienna Hall and Amelie Knight both claiming hat-tricks. Megan Vickers (2) and Nia Denham also found the target, with Lucy Griffiths and Eva Chalk replying.

In the U16s League, Jessica-Jayne Noden’s strike settled the closest of the matches as Airbus U14s pipped Buckley Town U15s 1-0.

Jets U15s got the better of clubmates Northop Hall 5-1 courtesy of Hayley-Jo Vel (2), Lily Davies (2) and Juliet Collis. Macy Leigh Jones hit back.

There was a 3-1 win for Berriew over Brickfield Rangers, whose scorer was Grace Williams.
