CALUM MCINTYRE has praised the work of the production line that continues to bring players through from the Academy.
Chester, preparing for tomorrow’s National League North trip to Rushall Olympic, introduced another Academy product to first team action in last week’s FA Cup win over Hebburn Town.
Blues’ boss McIntyre brought 17-year-old Oskar Rosenblatt off the bench to make his senior debut and told Chester FC TV: “There is a pathway and a pipeline of players and Mikey Allcock works really hard.
“You’ve seen there’s a hell of a lot of those players that have come through the programme and through the pathway in the first team and it’s good to see so many of them in the squad.”
Rosenblatt supplied the assist when George Glendon bagged Chester’s final goal in a 3-0 win and McIntyre added: “I thought his assist for George’s goal, really impressive.
“We’re really, really proud of our Academy and bringing players through and Oskar, hopefully, is the next one and then there’ll be some more after that.”
In-form Chester, who sit fourth in the league standings, are unbeaten in their last six National League North matches, while hosts Rushall are in the relegation zone.
Leaders Scunthorpe United, the only unbeaten side in the division, go to Scarborough Athletic.
Other fixtures: Brackley v Marine; Curzon Ashton v Peterborough Sports; Darlington v Southport; Farsley v Leamington; Hereford v King’s Lynn; Kidderminster v Alfreton; Oxford City v Needham Market; Radcliffe v Buxton; South Shields v Chorley; Warrington v Spennymoor.
