IT’S a quieter weekend for Deeside Dragons.

After a pair of double-headers to open the campaign, Dragons have just one game to focus on this time around, Sunday’s trip to Widnes Wild.

For player Charlie Phillips, discipline is the main issue as Deeside look to recover from heavy losses to Billingham Stars and Blackburn Hawks last weekend.

He told the Puck ‘N’ Dragon podcast: “I think number one’s got to be stay out of the penalty box.

“I think that’s killing us out here.

“But, if we do that next weekend, we have a good chance to play our game.

“Get settled, move the puck how we should be doing and we’ve got a good chance of bringing the fans a win.”

Goals from Will Harper and Ross Kennedy (pictured) supplied the only bright spots for Dragons in their recent defeats.

Tomorrow’s fixtures: Blackburn Hawks v Nottingham Lions; Leeds Knights v Hull Jets; Sheffield Scimitars v Whitley Warriors. Sunday: Hull v Sheffield; Leeds v Blackburn; Solihull Barons v Billingham Stars.

Deeside Ducks, seeking their first triumph of the campaign, are away to Coventry Blaze in Division Two North tomorrow.
