THERE'S a top two battle in the Premier Division of the North East Wales League.

Hawarden Rangers lost top spot last week with Lex XI, who they visit tomorrow, taking over in pole position. The match at Stansty also features the the top two scorers with 10-goal Rangers’ striker Connor Parry one clear of Lex’s Harry Massey.

Mynydd Isa will be hoping the top two draw because if that happens they will be in first place with a home win over Rhostyllen. Penyffordd Lions and Greenfield have home advantage over Coedpoeth United and Ruabon Rovers respectively while Gronant go to Castell Alun.

Championship leaders Broughton United look to continue their superb start to a debut season in adult football at Overton Recreational tomorrow.

Eight wins out of their nine league games have put Broughton five points clear at the top.

That lead could be stretched further with nearest rivals Brymbo and Rhydymwyn not in league action.

A win for Sychdyn at home to Bellevue will push them into second pace while Cefn Druids, after winning for the first time last weekend, go to Aston Park Rangers.

Both Deeside teams, Dragons and United, have home games against Yr Wyddgrug and Acton respectively.

Bottom club Skippy visit Holywell United and Johnstown host Cei Connah.

Mynydd Isa, who are top of the Group A table in the Reserves Division, go to Llangollen Town tomorrow.

Other fixtures: Saltney v Penycae; Brickfield v Ruthin; Cefn Alb v Hawarden; Rhos Aelwyd v Corwen. Group B: Coedpoeth v Castell Alun; Brymbo v Johnstown.
