RHOS AELWYD boss Gareth Jones says his side will ‘keep plugging away’ in the battle against the drop in the Ardal North East League.

“We remain positive and we’ll keep plugging away,” said Jones, who has signed former Wrexham youngster Harvey Davies ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Kerry.

“This young new look Rhos are learning the hard way in a tough division where teams are clinical.

“It was reflected in Saturday’s result - which had we took our chances, could have been a different scoreline altogether.”

Penycae are flying high in the top three and they are hunting down a sixth win on the bounce at home to Llandrindod Wells.

And Chirk will again be looking to perform their Sunday best.

A week after celebrating a first win of the league season at Holyhead Road, Chirk are at home again on Sunday against Radnor Valley.

Chirk AAA manager Tom Roberts will be without captain Phil Pearce and goalkeeper Nikki Williams, who went off early in Sunday’s match due to dislocated fingers. Callum Taylor will come into the squad.

Leaders Bow Street host Llanidloes Town while Llanfair United go to Dolgellau.

In the North West League, Conwy Borough host Pwllheli and Y Felinheli visit Nantlle Vale.
