WHILE Liv Fuller donned the armband for the season opener against Cardiff City, she says any of her team-mates would have made worthy captains.

The Reds pushed last season’s champions all the way in a 2-0 defeat at The Rock and Wrexham will be hoping they can claim their first triumph of the Adran Premier campaign away to Briton Ferry Llansawel on Sunday.

On the issue of captaincy, Fuller told the club’s YouTube channel: “I think it’s massive, especially coming back from injury last season.

“Getting my feet, getting minutes and getting into that starting team and then Steve (Dale) giving me the honour to have the captaincy arm-band which, I think, you could have given it anyone today of the performances from everyone on the pitch.

“We all worked really hard.

“Communication was fantastic from everyone and I think it just goes to show how much we want to play for this club.

“How much we want to win for the club.”

Sunday is a big day for both Wrexham and Briton Ferry Llansawel.

Back in the spring of 2023, the clubs met in a big promotion play-off and Rebecca Pritchard’s second half strike confirmed the Reds’ 1-0 win.
