Already assured of promotion, Marchwiel maintained their grip on top spot in the standings with a 69-run success at Gresford seconds, confirming the home side’s relegation.
Making first use of the batting track, Marchwiel’s 40 overs yielded 164 for four (Scott Lawrenson 76 not out, Gareth Evans 39).
Cam Evans picked up two wickets for Gresford, whose reply was ended on 95. Matt Lawrenson, Muhammad Ghufran and Kevin Shoemark claimed a brace of wickets apiece.

Pontblyddyn Seconds suffered a 133-run defeat in their home meeting with Bangor seconds.
Peter Jones’ knock of 71 helped Bangor to amass 223 for nine. Ansh Joshi and Gareth Jones secured three wickets each for Pontblyddyn, whose innings after tea ended on 90.
Corwen got the better of Menai Bridge Seconds by 37 runs after setting 214 (Tom King 62).
Time ran out when Bridge had got to 177 for seven (Danny Jones 3-20).
It’s now the waiting game in Division Three for Hawarden Park Seconds.
Park’s campaign drew to a close with their thrilling five-run success at Gwersyllt Park seconds.
They are second in the table and promotion will be assured should Ruthin fail to accrue more than two points from their home meeting with Conwy seconds this weekend.

Bethesda Seconds eased to a 122-run outcome at home to Denbigh Seconds, Nicholas Parry hitting 147 not out for the winners.
Bersham Seconds are one point away from making sure of promotion from Division Four following their 200-run triumph at Llanrwst seconds.
Salu Sebastian (97) was the chief scorer in Bersham’s 226, while Abhijith Anurudhan (4-11) and Satheesan Sinosh (2-0) took centre stage when Llanrwst were all out for 26.
Marchwiel and Wrexham Seconds were able to get the better of Hawarden Park Thirds by 61 runs. Darshana Sanjeewa’s 37 led the way in Marchwiel’s 137 and John Cooper (40) top scored in Park’s 76.
Leaders Llandudno Seconds defeated Dolgellau Seconds by five wickets and there was a nine-wicket success for Abergele Seconds at Corwen Seconds.
Chirk Seconds lost by six wickets in the all-Wales battle at Guilsfield Seconds in Division Seven of the Shropshire League.
Chirk (Dan Graham 30) posted 134 with the hosts easing to 135 for four.
