HAWARDEN RANGERS have taken over top spot in the North East Wales Premier Division.

Connor Parry’s treble led them to a 5-2 home win over Rhostyllen with Matthew Birks grabbing the other two. The visitors hit back through Liam Sklenar and an own goal.

Castell Alun were 5-4 derby winners against Penyffordd Lions.

Nathan Davies (2), Craig Worthington, Ben Bailey and Harri Williams got the goals with Alister Randles Luke Maddocls (2), Alister Randles and Matthew Holmes hitting back for the Lions, who had Liam Williams sent off.

Ruabon Rovers hammered Caerwys 5-1 while Connor Hughes, Danny Calvert and Callum Pritchard netted in Greenfield’s 3-0 win over Saltney Town.

Championship leaders Broughton United were 18-0 winners at home to Deeside United.
