MOCHDRE have already made sure of the North Wales Cricket League’s Premier Division title and the next couple of weeks will decide who finish as runners-up.

It’s Brymbo who currently occupy second spot and they have a 14-point advantage over third-placed St Asaph.

Victory on their derby trip to Gresford tomorrow will see Dan Parry’s Brymbo on the verge of securing a top-two berth this season, while the Saints pay a visit to Gwersyllt Park.

Northop, who could still secure a spot in the top-three this season, will welcome Leo Greig and Matthew Mullarkey into the side for their home meeting with Menai Bridge.

There will be a break for Andy Poynton and Peet Pienaar, with skipper Bart Ryan-Beswick saying: “It would be nice to get a couple of wins to end a good season.”

Champions Mochdre have home advantage versus Bangor tomorrow and Denbigh entertain Llandudno.

Northop seconds could get their hands on the Division One title tomorrow.

Defeat for second-placed Bethesda at home to Mold and victory for the leaders at Brymbo seconds could be enough for Northop to secure the title.

Buckley’s relegation could be confirmed if they lose at home to Halkyn, who also need the victory in their attempts to avoid the drop.

Pontblyddyn, just five points clear of the bottom-two, welcome Connah’s Quay, while Hawarden Park should ensure their safety with victory at home to Abergele. Elsewhere, Dolgellau pay a visit to Conwy.

Marchwiel and Wrexham will take a step closer to promotion from Division Two if they can triumph on their trip to Menai Bridge.

Llay, who require big wins if they’re to maintain their slim hopes of promotion, travel to St Asaph seconds.

It’s a busy weekend for Carmel & District, who claimed a fine triumph over Marchwiel and Wrexham last time out.

First up is tomorrow’s home showdown with Corwen and this is followed 24 hours later by a long trek to Bangor seconds.

In further action on Sunday, Gresford seconds will have home advantage for their meeting with Llanrwst.

Division Three: Caernarfon v Bethesda 2nds; Connah’s Quay 2nds v Gwersyllt Park 2nds; Halkyn 2nds v Buckley 2nds; Mold 2nds v Denbigh 2nds.

Northop Hall are looking to a positive conclusion to their Liverpool Competition campaign, which continues with tomorrow’s Division Two match at home to Parkfield Liscard.

Skipper Ben Slater said: “We’re looking to bounce back after a recent run of negative results.

“We are still aiming for a top-four finish. This weekend will be a tough game, but hoping for a win.”

Northop Hall are hoping to be close to full strength.

Hall seconds have an away match at Parkfield Liscard to look forward to.

Meanwhile, Chirk will be looking to bounce back in Shropshire League action.

Following on from a seven-wicket loss at Shifnal seconds last time out, Luke Gardner’s side can now look forward to tomorrow’s Division One visit to Cound.

“Hopefully we can get a strong team out and give it our best,” said Gardner.

Chirk seconds play host to Ellesmere seconds in Division Seven.
