CALUM MCINTYRE is getting ready for a tough away test this evening but he says his Chester side will be relishing their match-up with Kidderminster Harriers.

In-form Chester stretched their unbeaten National League North run to four games with Saturday’s 3-0 win over Peterborough Sports, while Harriers are in fourth position after winning four of their opening six games.

Manager McIntyre told Chester FC TV: “It doesn’t get much harder than going to Kidderminster, does it?

“I’ve said it, I think Scunthorpe will walk it. I do, because I think they’ve kept the core of a tremendous squad and they know what they need to do.

“But Kidderminster coming down from the National League, Brackley, that are always there and thereabouts, Hereford. Big, big clubs that I think will be right up amongst it at the end of the season and we want to compete with them and find a way to be better.

“So, we’ll relish the test on Tuesday night, but I think it’s one of the most difficult away fixtures.

“We’ve had a few of them, but we’re looking for that first win on the road. Great way to start the next block.”

Chester have secured the loan signing of Manchester United goalkeeper Elyh Harrison.

The 18-year-old made his debut in Saturday’s win over Peterborough Sports and he will remain at the Deva Stadium on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

Former Chester keeper Harry Tyrer, who was on loan two seasons ago, has moved to Blackpool on loan from Everton.

Leaders Scunthorpe United, meanwhile, head to second-placed Curzon Ashton in the big clash this evening.
