IT was one striker in and three frontmen out at Wrexham on deadline day as the summer transfer window slam shut on Friday night.
Gambian-born Mo Faal was the new signing with the 21-year-old joining the Reds from West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee, signing a contract through to June 2027 with an option for a further year.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at League Two clubs Doncaster Rovers and Walsall, scoring 15 goals which included finding the net for the former in a 2-1 defeat to Wrexham at The Racecourse last September.
While with the Baggies, he made his professional debut in August 2021 and spent time on loan with Hereford, AFC Telford United and AFC Fylde.
Sam Dalby, Jake Bickerstaff and Billy Waters have left The Racecourse on loan deals.
Dalby has signed for newly-promoted Scottish Premiership side Dundee United on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old made 91 appearances for Wrexham since signing from Southend United in the summer of 2022, scoring 13 goals to help the Reds secure back-to-back promotions. He has played twice so far this season, making one start and one substitute appearance.
Bickerstaff and Waters have headed out for temporary spells until January in the National League with Altrincham and Halifax Town respectively.
Neither player has featured in the opening four league and cup games this season for the Reds.
After coming through the club’s youth set-up, Bickerstaff has scored six goals in 28 appearances for Wrexham, including his first Football League goals last season against Walsall and Swindon Town, and has previously spent time on loan with Caernarfon Town, Nantwich Town and Accrington Stanley.
Waters joined Wrexham from Barrow for an undisclosed fee in in March 2023 but has found opportunities limited at The Racecourse - he spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Doncaster - and returns to Halifax where he enjoyed a successful spell in 2021-22.
